Pickleball Palooza Senior Tournament is for Gender/Mixed Doubles!

*  Teams Must Have ONE Participant age 50+. IDs WILL be checked day of Tournament. 

*  One Team Member CANNOT be under 40 Years of age. IDs WILL be checked day of Tournament. 

*  Full Refunds are Offered to Teams Who Cancel BEFORE Friday, August 16th.

*  A $3.00 Refund Is Offered to Teams who Cancel BEFORE Friday, August 23rd.

*  Registered Teams MUST be willing to play, ALL Teams. This Tournament is a Seeded** Event with a Double Elimination.

*  Trophies will be handed out at the end of Tournament Play: 1st, 2nd and 3rd OVERALL Placement. 

*  NO Cancellations due to weather as Tournament is played INSIDE.

*  One (:60 second) Time Out, per team, per game. 

*  Any teams/players who do not demonstrate good sportsmanship, language, or fair play will be removed from the tournament immediately.

 **SEEDING REFERENCES

3.0 - This player has the ability to hit a medium paced shot.  Avoids using a backhand. Not able to consistently sustain a dink rally. Understand the fundamentals. Is learning proper court positioning. Knows the fundamental rules, can keep score, and is now playing in tournaments. 

3.5 - This player as the ability to hit a moderate level of shot pace and control. Consistently gets serve/return in play. Can consistently sustain a medium length dink rally.  Player is developing a drop-shot. Knows fundamental rules, basic stacking situations and where it can be effective. 

4.0 - This player has the ability to hit with depth and control.  Still perfecting shot selection and timing.  Moderate success at hitting a backhand consistently.  Understands the difference between attackable and non-attackable. Can selectively mix soft and power shots. Understands the block/re-set volley. Has a broad knowledge of the game rules.  Can identify opponents' weaknesses and can formulate a plan of attack. Seeking out more competitive play. 

4.5 - This player has a high level of consistency.  Can effectively direct the ball with varying depth. Serves with power, accuracy, and depth.  Can spin serves. Can place the ball with accuracy and speed.  Recognizes attackable dinks. Able to block hard volleys.  Hits overhead shots consistently, often as put-a-ways.  Has good footwork and moves laterally, backward and forward well. Can change direction with ease.  Easily stacks court positions. Can identify opponents' weakness and can formulate a plan of attack. 

5.0 + - This player hits all shot types at a high level of ability from both forehand and backhand sides, including: touch, spin, and pace control. High level of variety, depth, and pace of serves. Has mastered the dink and drop shots.  Able to drop and drive the ball from both the forehand and backhand side with a high level of consistency. Able to block hard volleys. Has mastered pickleball strategies can interchange with ease throughout game play.  Rarely makes unforced errors.
